A graduate of Texas A&M University with an MBA in finance, longtime New Jersey resident Harvey Bell has more than 35 years of professional experience, as well as diverse philanthropic interests. Harvey Bell is an active member of the Friars Club, an iconic New York organization.

Named for “Frater,” the Latin term for brother, the Friars Club was established in 1904 as a members-only club for entertainment professionals, comedians, sports celebrities, and other well-known figures. Perhaps best known for its celebrity roasts, the club’s charitable arm, the Friars Foundation, focuses on improving society through the arts.

The foundation created the Lincoln Awards to honor individuals and companies who demonstrate a strong commitment to United States veterans and military families. Named after Abraham Lincoln, the award partners with nearly 50 government and veteran organizations, among them the US Department of Veteran Affairs, to recognize recipients with a celebratory evening and concert. Past recipients include Ken Fisher, founder of the Fisher House Foundation, and Wal-Mart, who committed to hiring 100,000 veterans.
